I am excited to announce that I have been invited to speak at ‘An Evening of Empowering Women’ at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, on Friday 13th October 2017.
This evening will involve talks from inspiring women and open discussion on the challenges facing women leaders, and will support the participation of 3 early-career researchers, Maddie Brasier, Hannah Laeverenz Schlogelhofer and Cathy Sorbara, in the ground-breaking leadership initiative for women in STEMM called Homeward Bound, which operates on the cutting edge of women leadership and climate change. Homeward Bound aims to build a global network of women in science and to collaborate for a more sustainable future. It aims to heighten the leadership capability of women to enhance their influence and impact on policy and decision-making as it shapes our planet. As part of this initiative Maddie, Hannah and Cathy will embark on the largest ever female expedition to Antarctica in February 2018.
To help fund this journey, Maddie, Hannah and Cathy invite you to take part in ‘An Evening of Empowering Women’ and create a stronger network that can follow Homeward Bound’s ambitions. You can buy tickets to this event here: https://www.tickettailor.com/checkout/view-event/id/115655/chk/f042
