I am excited to announce that I have been invited to speak at \u2018An Evening of Empowering Women<\/a>\u2019<\/em>\u00a0at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, on Friday 13th October 2017.<\/p>\n

This evening will involve talks from inspiring women<\/a> and open discussion on the challenges facing women leaders, and will support the participation of 3 early-career researchers, Maddie Brasier, Hannah Laeverenz Schlogelhofer and Cathy Sorbara, in the ground-breaking leadership initiative for women in STEMM called\u00a0<\/a>Homeward Bound<\/a>, which operates on the cutting edge of women leadership and climate change. Homeward Bound aims to build a global network of women in science and to collaborate for a more sustainable future.\u00a0It aims to heighten the leadership capability of women to enhance their influence and impact on policy and decision-making as it shapes our planet. As part of this initiative Maddie, Hannah and Cathy will embark on the largest ever female expedition to Antarctica in February 2018.<\/p>\n
