First of all, <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">The New York Times<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\"> picked up the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/openreflections.wordpress.com\/2008\/12\/15\/video-surfing\/\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">discussion<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\"> on the use of You Tube as a search engine, or better yet, as the NYT calls it, as a reference tool. They wrote a very nice <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2009\/01\/18\/business\/media\/18ping.html?_r=1\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">article<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\"> (published in print on January 18th) which summarizes the different things that were already mentioned about this phenomenon in the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.readwriteweb.com\/archives\/is_youtube_the_next_google.php\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">blogosphere<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">. The article also mentions <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.blinkx.com\/\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">Blinkx<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">, a video search engine, which is actually very cool and indexes various online video platforms (YouTube, MySpace, Google Video etc.) so check it out. Funny though, how an established (print) medium like The New York Times uses the blogosphere to retrieve its content on current issues\u2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align:justify;margin:0;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align:justify;margin:0;\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">The second update is on some new evidence for the, what I have now <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/openreflections.wordpress.com\/2009\/01\/15\/nails-and-books\/\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">rebaptised<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\"> as, NIN-model (sorry Radiohead), based on the new digital Maecenic (now community based) culture, or as an article in <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/techdirt.com\/articles\/20090112\/1501193383.shtml\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">Techdirt<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\"> calls it, the turning-your-fans-into-promoters model. At the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/montypython\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\">Monty Python\u2019s YouTube<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-size:small;font-family:Times New Roman;\"> channel, videos from Britains best comedy show ever, are streamed online, in High Quality versions.
