RiP: A remix manifesto<\/a><\/span><\/em>, is the first Open Source documentary, in which film maker Brett Gaylor <\/a>(founder of www.opensourcecinema.org<\/a>) invites the public to remix his footage in his participatory media experiment. The documentary<\/span> \u2018<\/span><\/em>explores issues of copyright in the information age, mashing up the media landscape of the 20th century and shattering the wall between users and producers\u2019. With appearances by Lawrence Lessig<\/a>, the Creative Commons <\/a>founder who just published his great new book Remix<\/a> (also see my previous post <\/a>about Science Commons<\/a>) and Cory Doctorow<\/a>, our favorite blogger over at Boing Boing <\/a>and writer of the equally great (and freely downloadable<\/a>) book Content<\/a>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
